"Agents of Change" 

are students empowered to make Contemporary Art that integrated in core curriculum and school wide initiatives with their school community  and community at large.  Their work promotes initiatives they have elected as important and significant to who they are in the world around them.


The Agents of Change are in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 12th working during the school day or in an after school program.

These students are diverse in their ideas, art experiences, learning needs, ethnicity, socioeconomic status and art exposure.  Their instructor, Mary Haddad, has collaborated with her school district, artist, curators, the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Art Institute of Chicago to deepen her curriculum and content knowledge in an effort to facilitate meaningful experiences for the students.
